I think I have the same keyboard. I contacted Targus and got an adaptor such that it works on my iPAQ 3850. Now I am thinking of buying a new iPAQ 2215 - question is I thought the keyboard would work with the new drivers that are just out. Do you know if this is true?

Yes.

I contacted Targus to get this adapter a few days ago. But they stopped producing the keyboard and adapters. So the tech support guy wouldn't ship me one. :(

He let me ship it in though, and they're gonna replace it with one of their IR ones though. :)

We'll see how well it works.
