I was having trouble getting Emu48 to run on my new iPaq 2215 with Pocket PC 2003. I just found a solution that seems to work quite well and thought I would share it.

Basically, for some reason the registry does not get updated correctly when installing on 2003. So you can manually update (taking the appropriate precautions of course) your registry with the following details:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Emu48]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Emu48\Serial]
"Ir"=""
"Wire"=""

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Emu48\Emulator]
"GXCycles"=dword:0000007b
"SXCycles"=dword:00000052
"RealSpeed"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Emu48\KML]
"AlwaysDisplayLog"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Emu48\Port2]
"Filename"=""
"IsShared"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Emu48\Files]
"Delay"=dword:00000001
"AutoSaveOnExit"=dword:00000001
"AutoSave"=dword:00000000
"Emu48Directory"="\Program Files\Emu48"

If any of you can read German, I found the post here: http://www.handheld-magazin.de/board/windowsce/189717.php3

If you don't know what Emu48 is, it is a great HP Calculator Emulator. HP has released the ROMs and they are included with the install. I highly recommend this GNU freeware. http://web.jet.es/leobueno/software_de_leo.htm
