I hope this guy isn't in some training class learning how to defend his country. Unless he is learning how, in a high negative G turn, to soft reset his airplane's computer system.

There is actually more info on what is behind this picture at the website. See the source link. Have a good weekend!

Pocket Pop? Oh, no that's my Ecpc! :D
And for the lazy ones ;) who didn't read it on my website (a bit overloaded now) here's the caption:

At the recently closed www.smau.it, the biggest ICT exhibition in Italy, I didn't miss the opportunity to jump into the cockpit of a real Aermacchi MB-339 jet aircraft used by our world famous Italian Air Force Acrobatic Team, the Frecce Tricolori ( www.freccetricolori.org ) obviously bringing with me my faithful Ipaq. What can I say but thanks to the Air Force specialists who allowed me to merge my two biggest passions ever in this absolutely unique occasion?
Who knows if the Ipaq could survive to the high acceleration acrobatic maneuvers this plane daily performs...

LOL! :)
In fact I was searching for a CF slot to insert a Wi-Fi card, but I couldn't find it! :D
Has anyone ever seen the Frecce Tricolori acrobatic team in one of the many Airshows around the world?
That plane is not certainly the latest in hi-tech, but it's special because it's actually a two-seat MB-339 used for training Frecce Tricolori's pilots.
If you've seen them in flight then you know what I do mean...

While I was in the cockpit I took extra care not to pull the ejection seat lever! :rotfl:

Oh that would be scary. A BSOD on their HUD and instrumentation. Forget tunnel vision. BSOD vision. The last thing the flight recorder gets before they eject is "OH GOD! ITS BLUE! ALL I SEE IS BLUE!!!" ;)

Actually they are leaning how to remote control their planes from there PDA. You never know when W?BIC! Might come in handy.
