It seems a good start to introduce myself. My name is Gemma Towle and I am a PhD student at Loughborough University, UK doing a PhD on electronic books and I need your help! I need my online questionnaire filling in by ebook readers so I can ascertain what your views and experiences are and have been. Firstly, I’ll explain a little more about my research, I’m looking at ebooks in relation to publishers, libraries and readers.
I think looking at these key areas is very important to the development of epublishing and ebooks.
I'm investigating readers with regards to people who use ebooks, will give an indication of the benefits and disadvantages of electronic books. It will also complete the publishing chain and allow insight into individual use rather than from the viewpoint of an organisation or company. This is where I need your help as I need all you ebook readers to fill in a short and easy survey, this too will remain confidential and no names or email addresses will be made public if you agree to further contact. I’ll say thank you now in advance and I look forward to your replies. The questionnaire can be found at this address: http://www-staff.lboro.ac.uk/~lsglt3/ as well as further details regarding my research. Please feel free to email me with any queries you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
