SD Card nightmare!

Can anybody tell me how to reformat my SD card, I currently run Tom Tom navigator on an IPAQ 3970 and all the map data is held on a 128MB SD card. The software had a problem locating the map data after working fine for two months, so I whent to remove programmes to whipe it so I could then reinstall. Seemed to remove ok however when I tried to reinstall there was not enough memory space the card was still showing 77% full !! Whent into File Explorer/Storage card and nothing is shown ! please help its beginning to p**s me off! :cry:

Or get a card reader for your PC and format it using Windows. Costs $20 and allows you to transfer files much more quickly too. You'll also be able to check the disc for errors this way.
