Are there any AAC players for the PocketPC. Or even Ogg Vorbis
players?

Thanks,

Sean

For Ogg, try PocketMVP (http://www.pocketmvp.com). I don't think that there are any AAC players for the Pocket PC.

WinamPAQ (http://www.freewareppc.com/multimedia/winampaq.shtml) is what I use for my oggs. Nice program, and it can use Winamp skins. I use the nucleo_nlog_v2 skin (http://www.skinz.org/files/21/5516/Nucleo_NLog_v2G.wsz) - verrrry nice (it's the same skin that's used in the screenshot). 8)

You could also try GSplayer. It is constantly updated. Here is the link to the web page:

http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/gsp.htm

The web site is in Japanese, but there is an English version. Scroll down to about to the middle of the page until you see "download english version". I just checked and the current version is 1.86a. Also, there is no install. Just the application, so you have to copy it over and manually create shortcut to it.

I'll second GSPlayer. It may not be as polished as the commercially available players but it works nicely for ogg files and it is free.

So without ACC Pocket PC support I can't play iTunes downloads on my PPC, right? Not to big of an issue for me, but my wife has been stealing my iPOD every morning. I would love to be able put some ACC files on her 19xx iPAQ. Anyone know how to do this?

If you have MAC you can get AAC files converted and sent to your PPC. Not sure about the downloaded iTunes files though...

edit: Do you support music purchased at the Apple iTunes Music store?
Missing Sync will let you move those files to your handheld, however we know of no Pocket PC software at the moment that will let you play Music Store AAC/MP4 encoded music. Until such software exists, you must stick to music encoded in the MP3 format.

Looks like no MP4

mp4 player for PPC (http://www.digitalnetworks.philips.com/InformationCenter/Global/fPopupForm.asp?lObjectId=&lFormId=1139&lArticleId=2175).... no all-in-one solution yet, unfortunately. I use pocketmusic or gsplayer, both support ogg....

I installed this and when I launch the program, it automatically closes itself. I can see it for a second and the - nothing. I have reset my pocketPC a couple of times, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone else have success with this?
