Hey ppl!

I was wondering, does anyone use their PDA in an IT environment?

I've got a few clients for whom I manage servers for and I was wondering if there was a client server application that I can run to monitor server status, and do basic management with.

I know for Windows I can use iAdmin Mobile (http://www.jrbsoft.com/solutions/iadminmobile.asp) but I'd like a solution where I could monitor both Windows and *nix environments.. At least something that'll popup and say "OMG! One of your servers is dead!" or allow me to create users restart services etc...

Thanks!

I've sometimes used my VNC on my PocketPC to connect to my NT-server, but mostly to show-off to coworkers 8)

Well, my favorite monitoring program is Big Brother and it displays pretty nicely over web browsers on PPC. Check it out at http://bb4.com

On Linux servers I use Nagios (www.nagios.org) to monitor the network and clients (can also monitor Windows clients), it sends e-mails/SMS when something goes wrong. For the specific servers i use Webmin (www.webmin.org). It has several skins, and a few are very PocketPC friendly. Great thing is that i even can reboot the server remote :)
