Hi there,
Just wondering if it's worth the effort to start converting my movies to be played on my ipaq 3765. Will it have a fast enough processor to enjoy the movies? Thanks.

at a small enough size anything's possible.

I'd be open to any suggestions. I've converted one movie via virtualdub. What should some of my settings be as far as fps, size and stuff like that? Thanks!

I used this site for my main ripping:
http://www.pocketmovies.net/dvdrip.php3
and then convert everything to wmv files using the file downloadable from:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5691ba02-e496-465a-bba9-b2f1182cdf24&DisplayLang=en
I hope this helps!

I have a much faster PDA, but it seems like the lower the bitrate, the better the file will run, because the lower bitrate means lower quality which means less detail to render for the PDA. 200-300 kbps for the video seems to be perfect for size and quality. You may want to go a little lower than 200 with a PDA that old. As for framerate, you should probably have it pretty low (under 20) to make it run faster.
I would just experiment with really low-quality settings first and then try bumping it up until your PDA starts chugging with the video.
