CF and Smart Media are two different types of memory cards. CF memory cards including 1GB are supported on the 755

I think SM cards only go up to 128 MB.

If you read his post, I think he is saying 1 gigabyte Compact Flash type 1 into a Compact Flash type II slot. I think he was just a little confused about the Smart Media, maybe that is a brand he is trying to think of and maybe it isnt supposed to be there.

You can put a type I into a type II though, if thats your original question. Smart Media cards go up to 256mb.

And BTW, whats with the all capitals?

Yes, a type I card will work in a device with a type II slot...

I havent heard from young padiwan lately. Maybe he got fed up about us telling him about his caps lock. Hmm, someone at my other forum says they love to yell. He always has long posts in ALL CAPITALS. IT DOES GET QUITE ANNOYING DOESN'T IT??

I remembered someone pm-ed me because I kept on calling him 'young'. he he heh.

p.s. think positive, maybe his CAPS LOCK button is stucked, so he cannot type in lowercase ... T2.
