I heard the ding! of a reminder, took the Axim out to close the reminder, and found myself staring at an Align Screen. The thing's back to a frustratingly pristine state.

Needless to say, I am not amused.

I need to keep my Device ID unchanged in order to keep a bunch of my software like Fitaly, but the Create Standard Partnership wizard won't let me. How do I go about getting myself restored?

I don't know but mine did the samething, but it also left all my backups currupt! :?

Delete the partnership from ActiveSync on the desktop (File | Delete Partnership), name the Axim the device Id that you want, and recreate the partnership.
