I might be getting a h1945 tomorrow! :D

has anyone used a TV remote control program on it?

I have one from PDAWIN but I tried it on my cousinīs 1945 and it would not work. It will shutdown the screen for about a second and do nothing else.

does Nevo work on the 194x?

thanks

Nevo is both hardware and software. So unless the iPaq comes with NEVO, no it wont work.

Consider the iPaq 2215. While it is slightly larger than the 1945, it has both CF and SDIO slots (1945 only has SDIO) for memory/expansion cards (like 802.11b, dial up modem, gps....). The 2215 includes the Charge/Sync cradle (purcase separately for the 1945 for aprox $39.99 to $49.99). The 2215 has Nevo built in and has "consumer IR" that works with PDAWIN's TV Remote software (1945 doesn't, and to use AV remote software you'd need to purchase an IR extender to really make use of it. I have only seen CF ir extenders for PPC, so you could not use them with the 1945.)

Just my $0.02

The h2210 has a major issue with non-replacable rubber grips...

HP is supposed to offer replacements that people can buy.

Thanks for the link... since i have neither experienced the problem myself, nor noticed discussion about it here, I wasn't aware of the issue.
