2215 or wait for 4150?

I need to replace my broken 3935. Luckily I have a replacement guarantee plan. The model the store will replace it with is the 2215 'cause that is the current equivalent. I get an even exchange for 2215, but will need to pay the difference for any more expensive ipaq (currently only the 5000 series). Should I wait for the 4150 to be released or go for the 2215 now. I like everything about the 2215, but will miss the side button (which I alway remap to "scroll down" for one handed reading).

What are the rumors for the 4150 regarding the side button? Will it or wont it? Is it true it wont have a CF slot like 2215? (I already have a CF WiFi card and CF mem modules).

Also, any Idea if 2215 price will soon drop, or any future rebates offered by HP soon, that I should wait for?

I dont know how long I can last without a functional Ipaq. Help me decide. Thanks.

I'd get either a 1940 or 2210 now. The 4000 series will be here late november or december. Thats longer than I could wait. I almost bought an axim while waiting two weeks between selling my 3970 and getting my 2210 in the mail 8O back when the new models were announced.

I hate to tell you this, you could of got the Ipaq 2215 for $350 last week at compusa.com. It's now back up to $399.

I am going through the very same thing. But I would be waiting for the 4350 (thumboard). The 2215 looks like the first and only ipaq to have dual slots. This is a big draw for me as I see this as more expandable than a one slot device. I'm thinking CF TV tuners, CF Radio, CF GPS/GPRS and whatever else they come up with. Then again a thumboard is also a big draw. :?

I decided to go with the 2215 now, rather than wait. The CF slot was my main thing. I will just have to get by without a side button.

The only bad thing is that I had to return the broken (but useable) 3935, and wait for the new 2215 to be ordered (expected in by late October). If not for my old 3155 8O , I would have been ipaq-less for 3 weeks.

Funny, didnt remember just how bad the mono screen on the 3155 was. Could have been worst. If not for it, I would have had to use my wife's old 3M PalmPilot to keep me organized. :roll:
