My Toshiba e740 is refusing to turn on.
What happened was an application hung, and nothing would get it off the screen. Trying to soft reset/initialise had no effect. Even if I removed the battery and replaced it the screen would light up with the same hung application still on it!
I removed the battery for half an hour and then replaced it, checked the locking switch and the power swich on the botton, but the device will not turn on anymore! The LCD remains completely blank.
I've tried attaching it to AC power and trying to switch on but still nothing.
Putting it into the cradle also fail to turn it on, and XP on my laptop doesn't recognise the device as being attached.
Attempts to reset also fail, the device just sits blank. The only light that comes on is the "charging" or "fully charged" light if it's plugged into AC power.
Please help!
