Anyone have any advice on the opening speed of Pocket Informant?
it's painfully slow on my 5555. I know you can just minimize it with the little informant 'system tray' thing going, but whenever I open it and close it with the X, it closes the whole program (due to my Pocket Plus).
any thoughts?

I have PI also, and it's slow to load. I take that as a trade off because it does so much more than what's built in.
With PocketPlus, you have three options. You can either click the X and drag down and let go (that will minimize an app instead of closing it), you can hold down on the X and that will bring up a menu that will let you minimize the program, and finally you could also add it to the list of programs to minimize rather than close (under the Close Button option, there's a button that says Programs to Minimize). Just add it there, and you can click the X every time and it won't close.
Hope that helps!

Try pocket hack master or XPUScalar and overclock your CPU. Check the threads for adv, risks etc. I have my PPC at 592.0mhz and no probs.
Good luck! :werenotworthy:

I've just registered SPB Pocket Plus and have chosen the reverse, i.e. tapping X minimises, and the downward gesture closes. But I've already noticed that it doesn't seem consistent. For example, the gesture is not closing the Settings window which is one of the things I have running. Nor will it close Programs.
Are these documented exceptions please?
