Does anyone now how to run batch files or CMD files on a pocket pc without installing a third party product. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hold down the action key and click on the clock in the taskbar, then release. You will see the following.

Choose "Run" and give it the full path to the .bat file.

The action key is the round key at the bottom of your IPaq.

Yes. If you press in on the center of the d-pad, that's the action button. It's generally the same as pressing "Enter."

If you have Windows Mobile 2003, check out another thread on this board (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18401) about the Microsoft Developer Power Toys. It has a command line progy for Window Mobile 2003 that will allow you to run bat files (I tested it.)

Otherwise, I think there are other command line tools available, but I don't know which ones they are or if they work. The last command line tool I used (before the one above) was for WinCE 2.12.

There is also Pocket Console (http://www.symbolictools.de/public/pocketconsole/).

Its a bit advanced, but it works great.

You wouldn't believe me if I told you what it can do.
