How can I check the pages ???
I'm new to PPC (ipaq 2210) ... I use to work with Palm and Avantgo was a standalone software. Now, it looks like I need to use IE to view the offline content of Avantgo pages ?
How ?

In Pocket IE, tap the Favorites button (looks like a star) then tap the AvantGo Channels item.

That's what I'm doing... but it keeps telling me I need to activate it... In ActiveSync, I see AvantGo conduit... and it looks like it's getting the pages from the web.. but ????
thanks...

On your PC (not Pocket PC) go to AvantGo Connect in Control Panel, select any server settings that may be there, and remove them. Then, goto the My AvantGo (http://my.avantgo.com/) site, log into your account, and go through the "Software configuration" procedure listed on the "My Account" tab on the right side of the page.
Once this is done, try syncing your PPC again and try AvantGo on your Pocket PC.

As an aside, I would highly recommend asking one of the admins to change your username. Using an e-mail address that's visible to the world will result in an increase in spam once pages you've posed on are crawled by spambots.

Hmmm... It still doesn't work
Did all you told me to... in different order to see what it would do.
I've clear cookies, cache and authentication (in advanced config page) but still no results...
Arrggg... this must be something really stupid and I just don't see it... :bad-words:

Have you tried soft resetting your iPAQ? The only thing I can think is that maybe Pocket IE is still running in the background and maybe some file can't be updated. :?: (Good call on the clearing cache and auth info... always a good troubleshooting tool that I forgot to mention.)

Hi... You have not said which machine your using. But if its a HP2210 I have some good and bad news for you. I was only able to get mine working after I did a hard reset. The problem is that Avantgo is preloaded into the PPC. What you need to do after the hard reset is to allow Avantgo to sync with the default user. After that you can configure it to your own user name in the setting in activesync.
I hope this helps... I spent many an hour trying to resolve this without having to do a hard reset but in the end it was the only way I could do it. And I spent less time rebuilding my PPC than I did trying to resolve it without the hard reset.

It is in fact a 2210 ... :(
This is driving me crazy... I did a hard reset and resync... but it's still the same... Could you tell me exactly what you did (in the right order) so I can reproduce it and hopefully fix this damn thing.
Thanks !

Sure I'll try and help you out. But as I said I did a hard reset, then I let my HP2210 sync and setup a new partnership. Not a big deal because my original partnership was under HP2210. Be sure to activate Avantgo in activesync and let it sync under the default settings. After it has worked under the default settings you can go back into the activesync settings and put in your personal identification and on the next sync it should bring in your specific settings.
If this isn't clear enough maybe we can try it through MSN Messenger live at some point when we are both on-line.

Thank you very much for your help...
The hard reset was indeed the thing to do. But I had to
1 - Hard Reset my 2210
2 - Uninstall ActiveSync
3 - Uninstall AvantGo Connect (used to have a Palm)
4 - Install Active Sync
5 - Re-sync my 2210 ...
Did few hard reset before doing all this.
Thanks again !

Funny you mention this. I had the same problems you described, but I just couldn't figure out what was going on. I even had a Toshiba tech support rep (I have an e355) on the phone with me for the better part of an hour trying to figure this out.
In the end, it was completely uninstalling the avantgo connect app on my PC which solved the problem. I wondered if it had something to do with the fact that I had been using it with a palm device -- but now that you mention the same symptoms and, ultimately, the same resolution, I'm convinced that it had something to do with the palm version existing at one point.
So, if anyone stumbles across this thread in search of help with avantgo, try completely removing all traces of the avantgo connect portion of the software before you do anything else!
