VZW LG4400 + Gomadic + h5455 = Disconnect every ~1min

I have my h5455 running wm2003 connected via a gomadic cable to my verizon wireless lg4400 phone. It dials up and connects successfully, but after about 1 minute the PPC shows it is disconnected. The phone still shows active 3g connection. What might cause this?

This is a "feature". :D

I think they're trying to save bandwidth or something. In theory, when you try to access a new page it reconnects and is all transparent to the user. In practice, it sometimes reconnects automatically(although not fast enough to be transparent), and sometimes gives a page not found message -- usually if you try again it will reconnect.

Someone asked about this on Brighthand recently, and I remembered seeing a discussion on PocketPCPassion about it with a possible solution. I haven't tried it, and don't remember the details -- something about a utility to keep the connection alive -- but I posted the link on Brighthand.
