My Toshiba e740 is dying. WiFi is sporadic, the unit sometimes will not turn on or off, and the thing just hard reset in the middle of a meeting. I have a Best Buy warranty, and I am looking for a new device. I want something that has nearly all the capability of the e740 - WiFi, dual slots - as well as the aesthetics and slim form factor.

It seems to me that there are very few choices. :( I am also tempted by the latest Palms at this point!

Help - anyone know of comparables?

Although I'm pissed at Toshiba (I have a 740 too) over the WM2003 thing, I'd buy a 750 - still the most expandable device ... just don't expect WM2004 ... ;)

sounds like you might need some 5555 in your live my man!

The iPaq 2215 would be the smallest dual-slot device out there, although it doesn't have WiFi - just Bluetooth. You could get a WiFi CF card - or even SD WiFi, and fill the other slot with memory.

From what I hear there's not a whole lot to complain about with the 2215.

Please remember that these are my thoughts and opinions, and not a flame about anyone's choice.

OK - the 5555 does look sweet, but how's the "feel"?

The 2215 may be an option - I wonder how the Best Buy warranty works with PDAs that cost less.

The 75x series is not an option. :( Best Buy does not carry them in stores any more.

Sigh.

Just to add bit. The 5555 does not have the CF slot your required. If you really want an e750, why not purchase it online ?
