A landscape RTS game, finally. Waiting for the review.

I hope it is better than argentum. Three days gameplay is not fun.

Going off the screenshots, the map looks a lot easier on the eye than in Argentum which I always found too dark. I also like the look of the big map display at the corner.

• 6 challenge missions

Does this maybe mean multiplayer? I've played lots of RTS games but never single player. Hmm... might be something to talk the friends into.

Yet another RTS game? There are half dozen of them out there already. It's over done.

2D RTS is over. It's old, It's so last year.

Not on the Pocket PC it's not! Pocket PC RTS games leave a lot to be desired, and I look forward to their continued evolution.

Personally, I'd like to see something turn-based like a Heroes of Might and Magic-type game. There's a company working on one, supposedly, but it's been in beta for the better part of a year...

Jason: Warlords II? They've been making progress for a while now. Infact there was a large new batch of screenshots taken from the latest beta.

I noticed 2 pretty glaring problems/omissions from this game. 1, NO SKIRMISH! *argh* and 2, it's actually tilebased even though you can't see the tiles.

I'm biased because this was written by some friends of mine, but after beta testing it for a week WOW is the right word. Games are supposed to be FUN and that's what this is. Easily the best Pocket PC game I've ever played.

I had to stop playing it because I had real work to get done. Session play was limited due to hand cramps from playing for hours.

They put a lot of work into making the levels right. The game trains you to manage the units and ramps up difficulty really well.

Personally I'd rather pay $30 for a fun game than $15 each for 2 games that are supposed to be fun.

No multiplayer mode is a downside.

Graphics are totally adjustable with brightness and saturation sliders.

Go download the demo - the game takes about 2.5 mb when installed and you get to fully play the first 3 levels.

This game is AWESOME.

Basically, it's a stripped down version of StarCraft for PocketPC.

It doesn't have the variety of Age of Empires (you and your enemies all have the same technology), but the sound and graphics are slick, and it is definitely worth the price.

Hopefully they will come out with some kind of expansion pack with more scenarios and maps later.

Or RPG games like Baldur's Gate, Torment, Icewind Dale ....
Those game will be awesome in boring meetings.

Not true. I've just responded to your email, but you don't get a secure connection page until you do the "checkout" step, at which time you are asked for your credit card info. Give me (and Handango) some credit dude.

Jason,

I replied to your email but I just checked again and this page is indeed asking for credit card info on a non-secure page. Please try it yourself and see what I mean. Someone's going to enter their CC info and expiration date info and get it sniffed.

I did some more research, and the page is secure, but I think the graphics are not. I use MyIE2 day to day, and it shows the secure icon. Then I fired up IE 6 and saw what you were probably seeing - the secure icon flashed for a second, then it went away. So I right clicked on the page, and sure enough, it's secure. Have a look at this to see what I mean (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/handango-secure.gif).

I've asked Handango to look into this, and hopefully they can get the icon to show up properly. But the page is indeed secure.

Thanks for checking so thoroughly Jason. I didn't intend to be a pain but it definitely looked like it was unsecure. Hopefully Handango can fix it.
