sprite software pocket backup

I am going to be getting a replacement ipaq soon.
I noticed that sprite backup actually seems to overwrite the new ppc's mac address with the old one on the replacement unit. This is not desirable and I was wondering how I could stop this?

I don't know of any way to stop that - you'd probably need to ask their tech support directly.
