"Scroll on down, scroll on down the ro-o-o-ad!"
Hehe, sorry.
On the very same page, there is a Smart Modular 1GB CF card for $209 WITH a $50 mail in rebate! That makes it a STEAL at $159!

Now if only my local Costco would carry that item...for, say, roughly twice the price of the 256MB card! :)

I will never buy a (cheap)Sandisk memory card again. Way too slow, and the SD cards are reported to being just not working in my E-200. But have fun with it :devilboy:

looks like it is down to $149 shipped. Amazon also carries it for $159 minus any coupons/GCs you might have.

I saw this awhile ago, but didn't want to post it since I know how much you guys hate sandisk.

You guys?? I've got two sandisk sd cards and a sandisk 1G cf card. No problems with any of them. I think the problem with sandisk has been g-r-e-a-t-l-y exaggerated.

I think it's all a matter of personal experience. If you use Sandisk products (or any product brand, for that matter), and you don't have any problems with it, you wonder what all the fuss is about when others have a gripe about the same product you successfully use every day.
Conversely, if you have a problem with a product, you wonder why anyone with a reasonable bone in their body wouldn't spurn buying the very same product that gave you such fits and anger!
I don't buy Sony product because of poor ownership experiences with several stereo components. Many others swear by the Sony name.
It's personal preferences driven by personal experiences (and the experiences of those you personally know).

Well, as somebody who works in tech service for a big chain that carries A LOT of Sandisk products, including the SD cards... and handles all returns/refunds/warranty service, i can say i've never seen a single SD card returned back to me... and this is a company that literally sells thousands of these.
