Lag in response to Record button

I am not sure if the Dell is the problem or if an app is getting in the way, but when I hit the record button, it takes a while before I can talk and record a message.

When I had my iPAQ, it was almost instantanious, and the feature was very usable. The way it is on my Dell, I don't think I would use it much now unless there is some way of fixing it.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I've noticed this too. I know this sounds bad, but if you give the X5 a chance to "warm up", it works as it should.

If it's "off" and I press the record button it takes a few seconds and is not always reliable.

I usually just use the screen record button in notes, I gave up on the side button due to the slow response.
