The purpose of the program is to teach you how reading musical notes, test and then applying the notes to a guitar fret board. In return for using Sight Reader we would like to get your views and encourage you to help us improve the program by completing the feedback form which will mailed to you later."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/sightreader.gif" /><br /><br />If you're a budding musician, this might be very useful to you. Heck, I've been playing bass guitar for 12 years now and I <i>still</i> can't sight read staff notation. If you give me an hour, I might be able to remember "All Cows Eat Grass" and figure it out. I think I'd better start using this...

How about a similar program for piano. (My daughter is taking piano lessons...and so am I!)

Me too! I've played acoustic guitar for almost 7 years, and I need either chords or tabs if any decent sound is going to come out!

Brings back memories of music theory...

I am thinking about picking up my guitar again after a couple of years not touching it. This may be something good to get me back in the swing of things.. downloading the beta now :)

I've been using notes quiz from http://s-k.al.ru/wincepdaru.html#nq for a while and it works ok.

I tried to register but it didn't work. It wouldn't take my email address. Anyone else have any problems?

The app works fine on my PC (XP-pro) but does not work on my PPC (PPC 2000 on iPAQ 3600). Flash 6 says it is for 2002 so I imagine that may be my problem.

I just do not want to pay for a slower OS; I will buy a new PDA in 04 with a better screen resolution. I hope PPC is a player.

It's an excellent piece of software. Finally, I'll be able to read notes in real-time! (after many hours of practice, of course) :)

Will this work with bass clef and bass guitar fretboard? I just got an ipaq 2215 and would like to find something just like this for bass guitar......it looks like it may do it, but I thought I'd ask before downloading....
