Virtual Memory is kept in the RAM on a Pocket PC. The total amount of RAM on the device is split and shared, part to application and file storage and part to Program Memory.

Temp files for the most part are stored in \Temp or \Windows\Temp, some programs may not adhere to that standard though.

Hope this information helped.

Virtual Memory is the Program memory. It works somewhat like swap does under Window 98. When an application requires more memory the swap, or "virtual memory", grows, using up more of the RAM. When a program is closed, the memory is released and the RAM being used is freed up.
