I know you dont need to save your screen on a PDA, but what, in your opinion, is the BEST screensaver out there for your PDA?
I tried PocketCandy, and I did not like it very much. It flickered the screen too much.

My favorite screensaver is no screensaver...

Free version or a more advanced but relatively inexpensive shareware version. Time/day/date and a changing backgound picture. Really neat and functional sitting in the cradle on my desk.

I haven't tried it yet, but the built-in Pictures app that comes with Windows Mobile 2003 has an option to do a slideshow of photos when you dock your iPAQ.

I haven't tried it because it's just not something I have to desire to use. I wish Microsoft had spent the time they took developing that feature to do something useful. You know, like making animated GIFs with transparency work properly in Internet Explorer. :)
A so-called "screen saver" is not something I'd ever use on my Pocket PC, personally. When I'm on battery and not using my iPAQ, it's turned off. When it's docked in the cradle, I'm usually doing something else on the PC or not even in the same room while it recharges. That said, apparently some people do want this type of thing or products like DockWare (http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/fg/dockware.htm) wouldn't exist. :)

although I might post this as a separate post, is there a way to configure Pocket Candy to use the screensavers that are built into 'Pictures', Dockware, and Spb Time?

I would love to have my pocketpc run through a random selection of pictures on my desktop while in the cradle. A photo collection on a pc can be a lot like a photo album, gathering dust in the cupboard. If you have a few 1000 pictures, it can be easy to lose track of what you got.
I'm no programmer, but I tried to code an app up to do this. Unfortunately it took ages to transfer the individual pictures from the desktop to the pocketpc. I could have used a folder in activesync, but did not want to write constantly to the synchronised folder.
If some-one else codes up this app and it does all I want it to do, Ill be prepared to pay $15-20 for it.
Heres hoping some-one is listening.
