I've been looking at Microsoft's new office program OneNote with a lot of interest, and it certainly would have completely changed the way i study at university.

However it seems best suited to a Tablet pc where you can use handwriting on it, most people just can't type that fast.

The notes application for pocket pc seems to be worthy of a rehaul as just syncing into Outlook as a sticky note isn't really that useful.

What if you could write notes on your pocket pc and they'd synch into your desktop Onenote application grouped by whatever catagories you needed etc.

If it were possible any handwriting recognition could be deferred untill on the desktop machine as the increased power of a desktop could do it more accurately and faster.

What do you think?

I chatted with the OneNote Product Manager at Comdex last Nov. He said that MS did not have plans to make a ppc OneNote companion nor integrate OneNote with Outlook in the first release (if ever).

I do use HPCNotes & Calligrapher from PhatWare, but I'd have to say that note taking for a class would be too slow. I use it regularly for tasks and appts. I even used ii via WiFi to post this reply.
