Hi ,
I just got a EG800 (pocketpc 2000 device) for my wife, but I didn't found yet  how to put a background image on today screen, just like on my ipaq 5450...
I've downloaded a powertoy, but the image choosen get's on the bottom of today's screen information, and not behind

If 3rd party tool is needed, would prefer it to be free, but I'll also consider to buy if it sounds interesting!

Pocket Facelift. I had it on my Jornada 525. It's 15 bucks, but it's better than looking at that boring today screen!

You can't add a background image, but you can change the header graphic up at the top. There are two GIF files in the /windows/ directory that you need to replace - tdytop.gif or something. It's been a LONG time since I thought about that. :-) You can probably find some old tutorials on how to change the graphics somewhere...

I second the vote for PocketFacelift!!! It allows you to use all of the great themes out there that were not available to the first generation Pocket PC's...

You can use a program like "Today's The Day" (http://www.stellarmetrics.com/Software/ttd.htm) if you dont want to mess with the image files...
