Need Help with WLAN Firmware Update for 54xx Series

I can't get the latest WLAN firmware update (v. 100.5.39 - 7/31/03) to install on my iPAQ 5455. The installation wizard installs the setup file to my PC, but when I click on it to run it, it doesn't install the update on my iPAQ. Rather, it asks me whether I want to modify, repair or remove the update from my computer. I have tried all three options, none of which trigger ActiveSync install/remove. What am I doing wrong?

You could try to find where it has installed and then run the update on your own after the installation... I need to do so in order to get it install properly.

I had to the same thing...very annoying to have such a crippled install routine. I also had unspecified errors during the upgrade, and finally figured out that removing the battery for a few minutes allowed me to complete it without failure. Now it works....at last. I've had this PPC for months and only just got my wifi working. That looks suspiciously like publicly funded beta testing to me.
