Upgrade for Sprint Hitachi-1000 unit?

I'm looking at the Sprint Hitachi G-1000 PPC PE... But I don't want to buy something (at this price) that will not be upgraded to PPC PE 2K3...

Has anyone heard one way or the other???

Are any of the PE's being upgraded? I read somewhere that there is little support for the Hitachi - can't even get a replacement stylus… Is this true?

Hitachi hasn't come out with a replacement stylus yet but I found one that fit just about perfect in the G1000 stylus slot. Combination pen/stylus. Just sticks up about 1/4 of an inch (less than the G1000's antenna).
