Reading "Is Windows Mobile 2003 Really Faster?" By Jason Dunn on Wednesday, August 20, 2003
This article convinced me there is life for the StrongARM. The Mobile 2003 focused on SA and not XScale - kudos to Microsoft for that. IN some tests, the 206MHz SA performed better under WinMob2003 than the 400MHz XScale. I'd like to challenge the networks (T-Mobile, etc) to provide an upgrade to their existing installed based of PPC Phones for the new Win Mobile 2003. The internal 32M Flash is sufficient to allow the WinMob2003 to install.
I'm not buying a new PPC Phone just to get WinMod2003 but I would pay a small upgrade fee to have it on my existing phone. To cover T-Mobile's research cost on WinMob2003 with an existing phone.
