View Full Version : Avantgo not syncing.

Help help help! I just got my new HP2215 and for some reason Avantgo is not displaying the synced data. I recently set up my friends e740 and it worked perfectly. I have entered my Avantgo username and password in the options box, I am connected to the internet, Activesync says it is downloading updates, but when I click on Avantgo under favorites in PIE it gives me instructions about how to set up Avantgo, which I already have!.

I have removed the Avantgo option and synced, I have added Avantgo to Activesync and synced. I have done soft resets, I have deleted cached files. But no data on the PDA.

Any ideas? I do not really want to try a hard reset.

I just got a new AXIM with Mobil 2003 installed and it won't sync either. Activesync tells me pages are loading, but the Axim acts as if Avantgo isn't activated. It must be something to do with the new device as my old AX still works fine. I will try to get back to you if I figure it out.

I found a thread about this issue at Aximsite http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20418 They don't seem to have a real handle of what causes it. And some of their solutions didn't work for me. I do have a Palm hooked up to the computer that I first synced my AXIM on, so maybe that is the common factor. I tried deleting my account info and getting new from Avantgo and that did not fix it until I did a hard reset. Now all is well and I will be happy after I get my apps all reloaded.

Thanks for your post Tracy.
After reading it I released maybe my old Palm desktop software and Avantgo client were causing problems. So I deleted them. Still did not work. Uninstalled Activesync, reinstalled still did not work. Uninstalled activesync, reinstalled activesync, did hard reset, restored from backup, still did not work. Tried cradle on left side of computer, no, tried on right side, still no. :D
Doh only thing to do now is hard reset, and reinstall everyting from scratch.

It worked, annoying to reinstall everything but at least it works. Hope this is my only problem with my 3 day old ipaq.
