There are two ways that I know of, one free and cumbersome, the other costs some money but is waaaay easy.

#1 -- Use Microsoft's ActiveSync (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/pocketpc/activesync37.mspx). It provides a function to backup your 1910 contents to your harddrive. You have very little flexibility in the backup/restore process, though. For instance, if you restore, you must restore EVERYTHING, not just a botched/missing file. Moreover, it is slow, slow, slow. But the software is free! :)

#2 -- Buy something like Pocket Backup (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=374E623E68X7D19A7X65B3CD9F8348X8&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=34628§ionId=0&catalog=30&txtSearch=%22pocket+backup%22)(I use it and I like it). It allows for great flexibility options, among them: backing up to my storage card automatically once a day, in the wee-hours of the morning. Because it's set-up that way, I always have a fresh backup available, and it happens whether or not I forget to ask for a backup (but I do have to watch over the space on my storage card). I can also choose to restore one file at a time, and I can choose what parts of my PPC I wish to backup. I can compress the file to reduce the filespace, or save CPU power and just make a big, uncompressed file. Lots and lots of options! :D
