Data Backup Restoration

My old Pocket PC (Toshiba e355 2002) was damaged beyond
repair. I have purchased the new version with Mobile PC
2003. I have tried to restore a backup file created on
the 2002 to the 2003. When I run the Data Backup Restore
I get this message, "Warning! OS version is different."
Is there anyway to get this data restored?

Your data, you didn't keep it sync'd with your desktop?

I didn't keep the data sync'd with my desktop. The data was backed up on a sd card as a dbk file. The majority of the data is contacts and from ewallet. Do you know of any program that can covert the file?

The only things I can think of is to either restore to another e355 or contact Toshiba...

BTW, when you say damaged beyond repair, how bad is it? will it turn on? Can you sync it to a PC???

Thanks for your help Steve. It won't turn on. The damage was caused by water. Toshiba said there is nothing I can do, this was an issue with Microsoft and that the old and new pocket pc os are not compatible.

Well, the only option is to resore to another e355. Do you know anyone at a computer store that will let you "play" with a demo for 15 or 20 minutes? Once you get the data, you just Hard reset...
