Hi all, had some time playing around with my 2210 which I just bought last week. It's been awesome! I haven't had any problems yet, save for a few hard reset, but only because of the software I tried.

I've spent lots of time downloading trial versions of softwares to see which is best and suits my needs and also looking through Pocket PC Thoughts forums (^_^) for suggestions on accessories and softwares. And just today, I went on a online shopping spree. Here is a list of what I purchased:

Accesories
-Black Vaja flip top case(without belt clip) http://www.vajacases.com/pda_eng.htm

-Chrome with black tip deluxe stylus upgrade from PDA Panache http://www.pdapanache.com/products.asp?PID=HQ22

-WriteSHIELD 3-Pak iPAQ 2210 Kit from PPCtechs
http://www.pocketpctechs.com/detail.asp?Product_ID=WSIPAQ03-3

Software
-Pocket Informant www.pocketinformant.com : I also tried Agenda fusion and had a hard time deciding which to get(both are great!), but in the end, PI felt more usable I guess.

-Spb Pocket Plushttp://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/ : I've also tried Power Level III from ScaryBear and Battery Pack 2003 by Omega One. BP2003 gave me all kinds of trouble and was one of the software that made me hard reset. PLIII was alright; I was going to purchase it, but Spb Pocket Plus had alot more features and for such an affordable price.

-Calligrapher http://www.phatware.com/calligrapher/index.html : Just an awesome addition to anyones PDA. I bought it with Pocket Informant; it was a 25 % discount deal.

-Resco Explorer 2003 http://www.resco-net.com : Great file explorer with great addition features like encryption.

Freeware
tAgenda http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/kohgo/index_en.html : One of the best today plugins IMO.

Wisbar Advance http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/index.html : Best task management software IMO.

Owner Info X http://www.mypdacafe.com/~sillycat/ownerinfox.php : Great little plugin.

Pocket Nester http://jetech.org/index.php : Runs SO smoothly and I get to play some of my favourite NES games.

That's about it for now. What do you think of my selection?

Let's hear what some of you have on your PDA, specifically your iPAQ 2210/2215. Maybe it could be something I would be interested in :D

EDIT: Oh yah, forgot to ask which music player is considered by many the best? I'm considering Pocket Music or Pocket Player. Which is better IYO?

Very nice indeed! But how did you get ownerinfox to work on your ppc? I've also got a 2210 and it wont work. Just says "plugin already installed" which it isn't, and doesn't show in the today plugin selection. I just assumed that it wasn't compatible with WM2003?

I have OwnerInfoX installed on mine. How did you install it?

That's exactly what it says on mine too, but in my case it did install. I just go into my today settings and change the picture and a few options.

I just dragged the file into my ipaq from the desktop and then used the file explorer on the ipaq to run it. Its definitely not there in the today settings. :(

Ooops! I had just given up because I thought that it wouldn't work on WM2003, but since you guys got it going, I thought I'd try again. Turns out that I hadn't copied over the DLL! Doh! Thanks anyway! :D It's really good! Got a nice pic of my better half there now!

LOL. Good to know you got it to work. What a great add-on to the today screen.

Anyone know anymore dandy today screen plugins that would spice up my today screen?

Oh and PPCTech are so kind! I placed an order yesterday and today I received an email from one of their staff, Loyd. He kindly informed me that they have a Canadian reseller that would help lighten up my shipping cost. My eyes literally popped out when I saw the shipping charge at PPCTech when I placed the order O_O But anyways, for all you Canucks out there looking to buy WriteSHIELD and other products, head on over to http://www.handheldcanada.com/

Check out this nice piece of freeware for the today screen:

I've been watching this:
- Weather updates for up to 2 cities using weather.com
- Up to 4 RSS news feeds on your today screen
- Scroll bars
- Interacts with tagenda and many other today screen plugins
- POOM access

A college kid is building this thing before he heads back to school.

Awesome! 8O

edit:
Also, add this to Wisbar to launch an XP style shutdown or soft reset option:

I'm not going to post the applications I have because that list would be way too long (I'm a bit of a software pack rat).

In terms of accessories, I currently have the black Piel Frama leather case (http://www.pielframa.com/iPAQ_22xx_series.htm) (with beltclip) as well as the black Proporta flip-top leather case (http://www.proporta.com/detail.asp?id=515)(and thinking about getting the red and tan Sena case (http://www.senacases.com/hp2215/)and the tan Covertec one (http://www.covertec.co) .. yeah I know, what on earth do I want with all those cases? C'mon, I'm a girl and I don't have a fixation with handbags or shoes, PDA cases are my thing instead  ).

Also have the PDA Panache custom stylus (http://www.pdapanache.com/products.asp?PID=HQ22)with the black tip, 128MB Lexar SD card, 256MB SimpleTech SD card, 512MB Sandisk Compact Flash card, BoxWave miniSync cable (http://www.boxwave.com), wireless FM transmitter for playing MP3s in the car, Margi Presenter-to-go compact flash card (http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=MARGICF), Pretec 56K modem compact flash card (http://www.pretec.com/2sec_compactmodemb.htm), Kingston Ethernet compact flash card, Veo Photo Traveler digital camera card (http://www.veoproducts.com/Traveler_PocketPc/default.asp), Compaq Foldable keyboard (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000659TH/103-6137035-0981438?v=glance)and Olympia SoundBug (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/sim-explorer/explore-items/-/B00006IFT1/0/101/1/book%5Fdisplay%5Fon%5Fwebsite/purchase/103-6137035-0981438).
