WiFi and Registry

Ok, I was exploring my Registry on my Axim, and I noticed that in a section under HKey LocalUser, it shows the numbers for the current Wireless setup.(ex: IP, Subnet) I also noticed that it has a default setting for IP, Subnet and Mask. The numbers that are default are the ones that I would always get when I told my card to get an Assigned IP from the Server. Does this mean that one of the two devices (Desktop or PDA) is not using DHCP correctly or what? And if so, How do I fix this.

Now for all you developers: Is there a way for me to access the registry and change it using eVB. I would like to make a small program that changes those numbers for me when I switch between networks.
