What accessories do you consider necessary to maximise the functionality of your PPC? Do you carry them on a daily basis?
What is the minimum you would take if going away from home/office for a week?
Thanks. :robot:

When traveling, I don't accessorize beyond this:
-- the travel recharger to recharge my PPC's battery
-- the earbuds for listening to music
If I'm just going to work, I just pack my earbuds...if I didn't just leave them on my work desk.
I guess my screen protector would be considered an accessory, too. It's always applied to my PPC's display, and I change it only when it's badly scratched (which has been just once since I've been a PPC owner).
Traveling for a week I take:
Axim with SD and CF cards
WiFi CF card
Pocketop Keyboard
Charger
Earbuds
Cellphone

While travelling...with my iPAQ 3835...
* Targus 56K V.90 dial modem (CF) w/telephone cord
* Socket LP-E CF+ Ethernet card (wired) (CF) w/10 foot 10BaseT cable
* D-Link DCF-650W 802.11b card (wireless) (CF)
* CF sleeve
* Extra AC adapter for charging overnight
* AC extension cord
* 64 Meg CF memory card (which has a backup image of my device)
I normally keep a 128 Meg SD memory card in the slot at all times, also with a current backup image of my device on it along with maps, documents, eBooks, etc...
I also use a Proporta metal case to protect the iPAQ.

Hmm - well I carry my Crumpler Courier bag with me just about everywhere and in that I generally have:
- Z-com 815 CF wifi card;
- Pretec 56K CF modem;
- Stowaway keyboard;
- spare standard battery;
- spare stylus;
- USB sync/charge cable; and
- a set of headphones or earbuds.
On the occassions that I do not have my bag I would usually only carry My Jornada and maybe the Wifi card.
I just ordered a HP pocket keyboard for my Jornada, so I guess I will have to add that to my list soon as well :D

Just my Gomadic cable. If I'm going away for many days I take my charger too. Oh and my SD card is always in the slot. But what more do you really need?

I had a few short business trips recently, just a few days, and decided to risk leaving the laptop at home for the first time...took the following...
iPaq (in a Vaja case of course...)
512Mb SD card
Extra battery
SE T610
Worked out fine...although GPRS roaming through Europe still sucks. If I could have hooked up to some wifi hotspots en route, that would have been great.
If I was going away for a week, and knew there was some reasonably serious work involved, sorry, but the laptop would come with.

It is interesting - because I would take my laptop as well. I added it up:
PPC
Extra battery
SD card
CF Card
Portable Keyboard
Charger
CF Sleeve
Earplugs
seems alot to take for portability. It would be easier to take the Laptop.
Also, I carry most of the above on a daily basis - they take up as much room as my laptop. Having said all that I still prefer my PPC on a daily basis (upload to laptop 1x day) and only take the laptop when I am going for longer trips.

You'd feel quite at home in the US. We are the masters of crap coverage, even without roaming. :D

I've already got a list of stuff I carry (http://www.beauvais1.com/ppc/stuff_i_carry.html) on my Web site. A couple things need updated, but overall it's pretty accurate. (Sad, but accurate.) :)

I take my iPAQ and my laptop with me to work every day. They go with me on vacation and business trips. My business trips are usually a minimum of 1 week, often longer. Seems like I have about the same amount of "stuff" for both machines (cords, cards, etc.) It all fits in the laptop bag. Not too heavy, unless I put in a book, change of clothes, etc. for a plane trip.
For my PPC:
- RhinoSkin case (holds almost everything for the PPC)
- earbuds
- Dual PC Card sleeve
- 256 MB SD card (I backup to that)
- several CF cards (256 - 512MB)
- CF GPS & external antenna
- USB charge/sync cable (usually charge using the laptop)
- CF modem and phone
- PC to CF adapters
- For long trips, I take
- AC adapter connector for the USB cable
- Nexipad dual-CF sleeve (for long plane rides)

My PPC Travel Companion is:
USB Sync & Charge Cable
SD WiFi
Sony Headphones
and Extra Memory for backup purposes.
That all fit on my Belkin wannabe wallet with belt clip

- Spare battery
- Two 256MB SD cards with music, e-books, backups, etc.

- Headphones
For trips (whether business or leisure):
- iPAQ 5455 (with AC adapter, sync cable and spare battery)
- Sony travel speakers (with AC adapter)
- headphones
- stowaway keyboard
- iPAQ micro keyboard
- iPAQ spare battery charger (with AC adapter)
- SonyEricsson t68i cell phone (with AC adapter)
- RoadWired Podzilla carrying case to carry all of this plus my personal DVD player around.
