I know it's not my AP, I have a PC that can connect O.K....
I can put it in both my 2215 (using Socket Drivers), and my 548 (using (Symbol drivers), and it cant find my AP (turned off WEP, disable MAC filtering, etc.)...
This stinks...
Anyone else seeing these things fail???

It appears as if the problem is SSID broadcast...
If it's on, the card works. If it's off, the card can't connect. Anyone else seeing this???
Device: 2215
WAP: D-link 614
Card: Symbol Wireless Networker w/Socket Drivers

I'm not following you around or anything ;) but I noticed this issue on my 5550. If I connected to an AP somewhere then tried to reconnect to my home AP that has SSID broadcast disabled, I had to temporarily reenable it to get my iPaq to see the AP. But I can go for great lenghts of time without having to reconfigure anything if I don't connect to any other APs in the meantime. MS shouild have included something in Windows Mobile 2003 to set a preferred network so this wouldn't happen.

Strangely enough I've had the same problem with my laptop. Every time I go to my inlaws my laptop, which never has a problem on my home or work WANs, can't see the network, but resetting the AP with SSID broadcast enabled solves the problem every time. Kinda annoying...

The ssid broadcast is what allows devices to connect automattically.. when you turn it off, your neighbor cant connect or see your connection unless they specify the ssid and manually connect.
You can do this on the ipaq, but for ease of use i would recommend leaving the ssid broadcast on.

I agree, I have to turn on Broadcast Enable or else I can't connect. What's the purpose of having the choice to enable and not enable. Well duh, I want to connect, so I have to enable it.
I only found this problem when I got my SDIO WiFi card. Before it was ok by turning off the SSID Broadcast.

Everything I have in my house that connects to my WAP, can connect with SSID Broadcast turned off...
Oh well, I just hate leaving it broadcasting...

FWIW, on my Ipaq: I can try to manually connect without SSID Broadcast on 'till my arms fall off, the device will never connect...
