compaq 3970-problems syncing with computer

:( I bought this 3970 8 months ago and couldn't sync it-the message came up "choose profile " with a "ms exchange settings" as the default setting. When I clicked on that message delivered was "network problems-contact system administrator"-HELP

Which OS are you using on the computer ?
Which Acitve Sync do you use ?
Are you syncing with USB or serial ?
I'm use _W2k Professional,AS 3.5 build 12007,USB without any problems

Instead I'm interesting about your 3970's battery, How much time it lives ?Mine after a month only 2hours only :cry:

thanks for the reply,1/ my OS is windows 98
2/ my active sync is vs 3.5 (came with pocket pc
3/ my connection is usb
i took the box to the store and they set it up for me but said i would have to do my own settings for email etc
