I just installed some Windows updates from the Microsoft Windows Update page. One of the updates had to do with networking. Now, my Belkin USB BlueTooth adapter that I had been using to sync with my iPaq 2215 has stopped working.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried going to Belkin's site and getting the latest drivers for the BT adapter? (I have one, but my recent Pocket PCs don't have Bluetooth, so I haven't experienced this.)

Was it XP? I just had a similar problem with my Dlink BT 120 Adaptor. The difference was that it showed the dongle as disconnected but it was still working :?: I had just updated XP as well.

Yes, it was XP. It now shows the network connection used by the dongle as being disconnected.

I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the latest drivers but the problem persists.

Have you found any resolution yet?

Mine shows the same, but as soon as I try to make a connection it shows connnected. I don't see what nees to be fixed. The icon shows the BT Lan adapter that, if it's not connected, it will show it.

I prefer to have this way. That way I know if the connection was sucesful or not.

Just to clarify, mine now shows as disconnected even when it is connected and working. Not a big deal, just annoying.

Connected and working using AS or connected using the LAN profile? The icon under XP is only for the LAN profile, not for all BT connections. That's why is called Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver.

I see the distinction, you are correct. It used to show connected all the time even just with AS. Now AS works fine but there is no LAN connection. In response to the original post here in my case it indicated one thing before the windows update, then as you state it, correctly after.

In my case, prior to the windows update, everything worked just fine.

After the windows update, I now have an icon in my system tray that shows two computers networked together with an "x" on them. If I run my mouse over the icon, the tool tip says "Local Area Connection 10: a network cable is unplugged."

Local area connection 10 is "Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver."

There doesn't appear to be any communication between the desktop pc and my 2215. I am not sure where to go from here.

This bites. I need to sync up. I don't want to have to hook up the cradle again.
