Hi there,

I got myself an HP iPaq 2210 pocket pc the other day, and been having problems trying to share my desktop pc's net connection with it. Im trying to do this over bluetooth, I have my dial up connection shared with the bluetooth network driver, and used the bluetooth wizard on the PPC to access the net on my big pc. Seems to work fine, and even connects, but I cannot get anthing through it, no email, webpages etc.

Would someone be able to give me a quick guide on how it should be done??

Also, has anyone been able to use their pocket pc with a Nokia 3650 phone, and get gprs connected and running fine? If so, what setting did you use? I read that you need to use something like *99# as the number to dial, but it doesnt work for me.

Many thanks

I moved this to the Wireless forum, as that seemed more applicable.

who is your cell service through? With T-Mobile I have my phone dial:

*99***#

and I have it working fine with my Ericsson r520. You also need to have the GPRS turned on for your phone account. I made that mistake before and spent many an hour fussing with it.

Cactusweasel's sharing a dial up from the PC... No GPRS provider there (unless the dial up is via mobile phone).

You can have a look in our Bluetooth Guides for some answers on this issue. There's a checklist there for when the network sharing doesn't work.
