I have 300 free wap minutes on my phone, and it has infra-red. Would I be able to use those free minutes for internet on my ipaq?
Thanks

Yes, you would.
Does your phone have bluetooth? since that would be easier. It's a pain in the butt to line them up so get the data cable if you can (which is why bt would be better, no cables!) You can from then on use your pocket pc connected to your phone and surf internet or wap sites. :D PocketPC Thoughts has a site formatted just for your Pocket PC :D just visit the site like normal on your PPC :D

Which phone model do you have? Because your phone must have bluetooth as well.
So wait..you're telling me PocketIE can read WAP?

Then im afraid you're stuck with the infra-red solution
Wouldn't there be a problem with the different IR ports? Because the iPAQ's port is an IrDA one, the T300's port just IR. Would there be any problems connecting the 2?

I have copied all the wap settings from my phone to my ipaq. These are the settings I have put:
Under settings/connections/connections, dialing locations tab: location: home, local settings, area & country code blank (otherwise it dials some wierd number additions, US ones I think, I am in the UK). Tone dialing, disable call waiting unticked. Dialing patterns: FG, EFG, EFG.
Under connections tab. Internet settings (modify):
Connection called Ericsson:
Generic IrDA modem, Baud rate: 19200, Advanced: all default except IP adress under TCP/IP. The WAP settings had an IP address with no description, and that seemed the best place to put it.
Next, Country code blank, Area 7836, phone 900808. That turns out as 07836900808 which is right for the UK I think.
Next, all default.
When I connect with the WAP username & password, it connects fine, and a call starts on the phone, but whenever i try to open a page, it says it cannot be found! :?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ben
