Hey everyone,

First post for me here so Hi to all.

Got a quick question about Animated Themes. Just installed it today and it looks great.

My only reservation at the moment is that I cannot get the flash part to cover the whole screen. Basically, I have the flash part at the bottom of my screen but is too big and the scroll bars show up.

Essentially, I am really looking at a fit to screen for the flash part. I know that a regular wallpaper will fit to the whole screen so I am hoping this (or some other software) can do it.

Am also wondering which is the best theme manager for animated themes that also changes the themes automatically.

Any suggestion,

JBB

If you think of it as just another plugin, you'll understand how it works better than if you think of it as wallpaper. You can not have a plugin overtop of a plugin. So if you have scroll bars uncheck one of your plugins.

The size on the page is determined by the maker of the animated theme, he/she will decide how big of an animated theme they wish to display.

Also you must remember this is a LOAD on your CPU all of the time, the bigger and more that you have animated, the slower your PPC will run. Not just when on the today screen, but all the time.

I happen to like Theme Dream by Applian http://www.applian.com/pocketpc/themedream/index.php

And you should also check out the themes in this pack:

Thanks for the reply David,

I thought that was the case but was hoping for a way around it.

I liked the idea of having an animated clock as my today screen but I did notice quite a slow down when using other apps.

I am running a toshiba e330 which runs at 300 Mhz and have noticed it was quite a bit slower. I am wondering if it is a lot better on a 400 or whether there are smaller animated themes that won't bog the system down. At the moment I have that theme disabled and will try other.

I really like the animated themes as they do make the today screen a lot more interesting :(

Hi.. I have an IPAQ.. and I tried to load the basics in order to run themes on my PDA. I'm having problems. I followed the instructions given on the FAQs from PocketTheme.com

Flash 5. When I try to install the .exe, I get this error msg: Install_flash_player_ppc_en is not a valid Pocket PC application.
So how do I install it? Did I load the wrong one? I got it from the link under FAQ's.

Animate Today (trial) -When I try to open that up same thing...'At2002trial' is not a valid Pocket PC application.

I had ordered this Kaleidescope theme and I can't open that up. I was assuming I needed the basics first before trying to run that app.

I can't seem to unzip files either. I end up unzipping at my work's PC, then emailing the files to my IPAQ.

Can anyone help me? I'm using an IPAQ 2215. I'm connecting via bluetooth phone. I'm not connected to a PC.. (my pc crashed)

Thanks!

You really need a pc to install most of this, because it also involes setting up the registry as well.

Do NOT download Flash 5 instead go here:

http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/pocketpc/2002.html

and get Flash player 6. You can get theme dream here, but you'll need a pc to set it up.

I'll setup everything through my laptop then. I'll make sure to download the Flash 6 instead. Thanks for your help!
