Hi!

I wonder whether my 2215 will lose all data if I run out of battery, or not?
My former T|T didn't lose its data but I feel a bit unsecure with my new iPAQ 'casue I don't know yet how it works...

Could I rest in peace or not about this matter?!

I believe the 2215 has a backup battery. If you let the main battery discharge completely and then some, you might then lose data.

In general, it's a good idea to keep Pocket PCs charged, not only to prevent data loss, but because Li-Ion batteries hate deep discharges.

And when you say "then some" you're talking about how long time? If you guess...

Check your power settings and see what it it set for. If it anything like the 5455, there is a sliding scale that you can set the number of hours it will save data in standbye mode. But those settings are ajustable

yeah, the ipaq 2215 has a slider to choose your standby time. The info on that slide represents hrs that the PDA will "standby" without relying on the backup battery. So it goes up to 96hrs if you are that worried. After that i think you have another 24hrs with the backup battery (or maybe that's 10mins)
