Hi folks,

Where can I get a lanyard, headset adapter plug for my 1910? Also, can someone post a link to one of the better threads about cases?

Thanks!

You can get a headset adapter plug at Radio Shack.

Um, I'm assuming by "lanyard" you mean a separate item, and not a "lanyard headset plug"? The only way I got a wrist strap for my 1910 was by pilfering the one that came with my Casio Exilim camera. It's hard to find a strap that is narrow enough to go through the tiny opening for the lanyard pin; if you get an ultra-compact digital camera you can steal the strap from that (and then use a diff. camera strap for your digital camera. I use my old 35 mm camera strap for my Exilim). I don't know where you can buy straps individually. I had a really hard time finding one.

For the case thread, do a search on "1910 case" (or 1910 cases). There are a lot of brands and manufacturers out there. I just wrote a review of the Vaja case that will be up shortly; I think Vaja and Proporta make the best cases. But there are certainly other options.

I'm not sure what kind of case you're looking for but here's what I got for my 1940.

I love the black leather case that is available for Palms ... the ones that fold like a mini portfolio (i.e. left flap over right flap), with multiple credit card and money slots, as well as several memory card holders. So when I was in the Coach outlet store last weekend (Prime Factory Outlet by Niagara Falls in Buffalo), I spotted a sleek black one for $6 USD. This is real leather with an executive look. However, it was meant for a Palm (using the stylus-like holder by the side). It was too good a deal to pass up so I bought it, bought some velcro strip and stuck my 1940 in the case. Everyone who sees this thinks it was made for my PPC.

You can use the velcro idea for any case/wallet you see that may not be made specifically for the PPC. Just remember not to cover the battery cover since you'll need to open the backing every so often.

Very creative solution. I thinking along the same lines. I haven't found a 1910-specific zipper case, the ones I have looked at cost more than I care to spend, and the generic cases are too bulky. I may put some velcro on my old M505 zipper case and use that.

Don't know if by "lanyard" you mean a carrying strap, but what I did was take the strap off of the blue plastic palm zire case. I've been using that with my 1910 and now 1940 for a while now, and it turns out to be very convenient!

Excellent! Do you use the strap along with a case that can close around it, like a zipper case?

Did you keep the 1910 after you got the 1940?
