After leaving my 2210 in my briefcase all weekend, I got to work monday morning and my battery was completely dead. I got no response until I put it back in the cradle. Anybody else have this happen? Is it normal? Fortunately, I didn't lose anything.

This happened to me on my 3850. It is normal for the ipaq to power on on its own at around midnight to update the Today screen for the new day

Have you changed your power settings so that the ipaq does not power off automatically?

No, my power setting is set to shut off after 3 minutes. i'll have to keep an eye on it.

Make sure you close heavyweight applications you're not using, especially WMP. WMP has a penchant for preventing the device from shutting itself off after it turns on at midnight to rotate appointments.

I actually think it was pocket plus that locked up on a reminder. I have disabled it until the update is available.

They just released the update, so check their web site for more information.
