My iPaq did a hard reset when I played around with the 530mhz version of XCPUScalar. I have a backup so i'm not too worried. Nothing important on the iPaq yet. But, everytime i do a hardreset, when I try to resync with activesync it claims that name is already in use. I renamed my freshly reset iPaq to my the old name, soft reset it and tried to resync. Activesync thinks its a new unit and wants to setup a new partnership. I want to reassociate it with an existing partnership or remove the old partnership fully and then add it under the same name again. I have not been able to figure out how to fully remove a partnership off of the ActiveSync program and keep having to rename my iPaq to something different after each hard reset.

So, if someone could help me figure out both scenarios

1) how to reassociate with an existing partnership
and
2) how to fully remove old partnerships from ActiveSync so I can use the name again

I would be most appreciative! Thanks!

To remove the old partnership delete the profile folder. On WinXP it is in:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles

I've never been able to reassociate with an old partnership so I've always deleted it and recreated with the same name. Sometimes I've also been able to delete an old partnership with the ActiveSync menu (File -> Delete Partnership)
