I'm going to be in New York for a couple of days, and I wanted to know if my ATT TDMA phone will work in the city? Or should I look at finally upgrading to a GSM plan? Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance.

Yes, of course your TDMA phone will work :) Mind you, AT&T's network has historically been a bit overloaded, so in peak times you might get some service busies, but overall it should be fine. In Manhattan, most every service works pretty well (although building coverage varies widely thanks to the great steel shells they are over here. ;))
