Inexpensive Serial Connection for Toshiba e740

Any ideas how I may connect a serial device such as a GPS to a Toshiba e740?

I could connect via a pricy Toshiba USB expansion pack and a USB to serial adpater. But there must be other inexpensive methods. Any ideas?

Go to this URL and they have exactly what you're looking for: a cheap e740 to USB connection which you can use with a USB to Serial cable.
