want to retreive my contacts from my old pocket pc version's backup

Hi all,
i used to have a Compaq pocket pc 3600 (win CE) with important contacts.
The battery was not working correctly anymore, so i sent it to compaq. But they lost my pocket pc 3600 !!!
So i was sent a new ocmpaq pocket pc 3970 instead.

Thanksfully i did a backup (.stg file) on the 3600 before sending it to compaq. BUT it s not compatible with the 3900 !!
I also had to format my PC during this time, so my only source to get my contacts back is to find a way to extract the contacts from the 3600 back up andand find a way to put it either on outlook on my pc or immediatelly on the new 3970...

Can anyone PLEASE help me doing this :?: :?: :?:

If it was an ActiveSync backup, try STGViewer http://mypage.bluewin.ch/YetAnotherHomePage/j7xx/software/util/stgviewer.html

Next time be sure to back up .PST files on your PC - that is where Outlook stores its data.

I tried this already,
i can read the stg file, but when i want to "copy" it or "restore it", it doesn't do anything....

And i did a PST backup too... unfortunately, i don't WHY !!??!! it didn 't saved my outlook contacts :roll: :cry:
