This link, while in Korean, has some great pictures -- each of the images on the right-hand-column links to an individual gallery. This shot shows off how the TV antenna is attached:

Tasty! And yet, I bet it'll never hit North America.

Interesting. It's great that you can remove the antenna cause I see the thing getting snagged on something. Plus it would look too dorky when you would use that thing around clients.
Though, I would rather see an FM radio built-in rather a t.v. Who watches the free stuff these days anyway?

Yea, it would look kinda odd.
Also yes, the free stuff. It would kinda stink having only 2/3 channels..

This is another reason why I'm so grateful Microsoft loosened their PocketPC design rules... even by just a bit! Who'd have thought they'd ever allow something like this, this time last year?
Palm now have even more technological catching up to do!

Is it me or that thing has more antennas than a cellphone pole?

I can't imagine that being worth it. Unless it gets ESPN... :p
Actually I hate watching video on such a small screen.

I guess it would be thicker and weigh more for the additional circuit board and batteries needed.

Great... Ed's drooling again. I'd hate to be his shirt.
Edit: does it include in-built GPS? Looks like it has at least some GPS hardwre, from the one pic. Now I can't blame Ed for drooling.

I dont like the way it looks wiht the antenna, it is a good thing it can be taken off. I was hoping htere was a way to just pull it out of the ppc, but then again there is only so much room inside. Concerning the weight, maybe if htey changed the type of materials they were using to make the unit, it could be strong and yet lighter. Of course with every change they want to add to the $$$
If there is a variety if channels it may not be so bad, like the simpsons and frazier!;) haha

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this M400 is almost exactly the same size as Samsung's SPH-i700 available on Verizon.

Got me thinking..Why can't someone make a CF card that has a COAX input on the top? I could get some big o'le rabbit ears to attach to it...

Bow-tie antenna across the top. Pull out antenna on the side. The cell phone stub at the top and a GPS module cabled out. Needs a rubber duckie flex antenna.

i think that we all need to think about the diference of demand in diferent countries... i've been there in a the korean new year, and it took me over 20 hours to travel, not more than 300Km, withing the country... Think about it... i almost died!!! the first time i went there... i spent 48 hours traveling from south america to korea... i was so happy to be off the plane without realizing that i needed to spend another 5 hours stucked in the trafic of seoul... :(
plus, the TV shows are quite diferent... you don't get just 2... you get at least 4 or 5 and those are the most popular one... i haven't seen much people with cable TV... and the regular TV channels are pretty good...

Also yes, the free stuff. It would kinda stink having only 2/3 channels..Thats only for the US.. In Australia.. for instance, all our best programming is free.. The UK has atleast 7 Channels free, and I'm sure that asia has many more, as most people couldnt afford cable, and setting it up would be a nightmare

From the pics it looks like the GPS receiver is built into the dashboard mount and not the device itself.

The SPH-i700's battery doesn't stick out like that if I remember correctly.

A/V remote control. There is even an air conditioner controler on the software menu.

What... no built in CF slot?
It's interesting, but like everyone else in the US, I rarely watch shows that are broadcast over the air. The time I would find it most useful would be when I'd like to watch a Detroit Tigers game when I'm not at home, and those are almost all on cable.
Well, we can get radio via satallite these days without a dish. Perhaps TV the same way isn't too far off?

It's got user replaceable batteries. One is 1220mA and the other is 1800mA. It runs off of a korean version of Microsoft's world wide PPC Phone edition so it's a CDMA phone as well using CDMA2000 1x EV-DO (what ever that is). It uses the Intel PXA250 CPU running at 200mhz at normal mode but can be ramped up to 300mhz. It also has a built in VGA quality digital camera and SD slot. Apparently also has built in wifi. Also has in GPS "navigation" capabilities. There is a USB connector (doesn't say if it's got "host capability"). The TV antenna thingy also has a plug for an ear "microphone" (earplugs) which I assume you can use to listen to the program while watching TV. It comes w/a leather case, 2 stylus', travel charger. It also has an application called Remocon that I THINK is a remote controller. The GPS is not in the "box" you get it by plugging it into something they call NATE that's basically a cradle that you can stick into your car. The software and GPS cradle is part of the package.
Seems like a pretty cool machine though...

Holy Bandwidth Batman!!! :jawdrop:
I figured I'd just toss out a quick reply while I waited for the download.
OK...now it's done.
Actually, I'm surprised at the size in the comparison shots. I thought it would be a lot thicker. I don't think I'd go for it, but it looks like it might not be bad.

Now what would be REALLY cool is if it had DVR capabilities and could record the incoming TV signals. As it looks as if the TV antenna is removable, I bet it wouldn't be too tough to rig one to plug into a coax cable.
Wouldn't that be sweet? Have it plugged into cable and recording TV shows that you could then watch on the road...
